Hair Conditioner - other uses
I seem to have a glut of hair conditioner (2 teenage daughters like to buy then not use if it dosen't suit) and have been loking for ways to use it up. After googling I have found that people advise using it as make-up remover or diluted as a fabric softener. Has anyone tried it or are there other uses that you can…

Body Brush / Dry Skin Brushing
Hi I have been reading recently about the benefits of body brushing..seems to be an effective way of detoxing, keeping skin healthy and toxin free. Also a MS technique avoiding buying scrubs and exfoliators (albeit the initial cost of a brush.) I bought a cactus body brush from the body shop today and tried it out...oooh…

Sick for a long time...
Hi, I've had a really bad cough since June and it's now at the stage where it has become ridiculous...first I had an infection but that cleared then I had a virus (which I may still have). It's not so much the cough that is bothering me, it's the fact that it causes me to vomit. It seems to happen almost once (sometimes…

Travel Flight Socks - £1 or £12+
I know that their effectiveness is debated but I am looking to buy some just in case. The ones you see everywhere are the scholl socks which cost around £12 per pair but I have seen some different types costing much less than this - £4 and even a quid(either poundland or poundworld). So what do people reckon? There can't…

Anyone use this NHS delivery service for prescriptions

Hair dye horror!
Well not really horror but:o I used a permanent hair dye a couple of nights ago, I really don't like the colour. I was wondering if anyone knew if it would be ok to use a semi permanent colour on top of this so soon afterwards? Also when would I be able to use another permanent dye? Don't want my hair falling out!…

Dental question
My 12 yr old dd has just started wearing braces. The dentist gave her a prescription for Duraphat toothpaste, and asked me to buy Swirl mouthwash at the reception desk, which was £4. Does anyone know if this can be purchased cheaper in the chemists, or is there an alternative? She has nearly finished the Swirl already, and…

Another dental thread, all advice welcome
hoping to get a bit of advice here, just returned from my first visit in 18 months, new dentist (same place) but still NHS. I had been putting it off, between ages 30 and 39 I drank and smoked so much at the weekends it ruined my teeth, however the main culprit is diet coke, five 700ml bottles a day. I am not talking shane…

Checking up on "Degrees"
While not strictly a money saving question I knew of no better place to ask! Can someone point me to a place online where I can find out what letters (presumably degrees of some sort) are/mean after doctors names? I'm looking more at alternative sorts of practitioners. Thanks for any help!
