Hair Conditioner - other uses

I seem to have a glut of hair conditioner (2 teenage daughters like to buy then not use if it dosen't suit) and have been loking for ways to use it up. After googling I have found that people advise using it as make-up remover or diluted as a fabric softener. Has anyone tried it or are there other uses that you can recommend? Thanks in advance!

I am sure that I read a while ago that you can use it instead of hand cream to soften your hands.

I have the same problem with my daughter, she seems to use the shampoo first & then won't use non-matching conditioner with another shampoo  She buys a different combo every time depending on how the wind blows it would seem :rotfl: I have found it brilliant, and so has my dh, for shaving with. It leaves your legs silky soft & gets a really close shave. I have used it as a fabric softener when I've ran out & was washing something that def needed it. I just diluted it to the consistency of fabric softner & put it in the washer as normal.

  • I use mine to shave my legs, you will be amazed at how great they feel afterwards, much better than anything else I have ever used.

funny enough i was reading yesterday how some people only shampoo once or twice a week and use conditioner on its own other days and how good their hair felt, something to do with less soap build up i think

I have tried using hair conditioner in the shower after shower gel, as a sort of all over body rub, then rinsing it off (like you would on your hair, but your body/arms/legs instead).

As with using it for leg shaving, you feel silky smooth all over afterwards and it is quicker than applying body moisturiser after getting dry if you are pushed for time in the mornings.

  • Thanks for this I think I'll try using conditioner to shave my legs cos I very rarely can be bothered to moisturise afterwards.
