Tesco- at it again-pineapples..
I do like fresh pineapple but i dont like buying puny rubbish pineapples as is often found in supermarkets so i keep my eye out for good ones at the right price. Now then, Tesco used to have "small" pineapples and "large pineapples". The small ones were totally rubbish and way too small and under ripe. The big ones were…

Pricing of fruit and veg
I am having increasing difficulties working out whether it is cheaper to buy pre-packaged or loose fruit and veg. For example when I was shopping today it is very difficult to work out whether it's cheaper to buy 5 apples in a bag for £2.50 or to buy 5 lose ones at £1.90/kg? The packaged fruit and veg is always priced per…

Milk & more cheese £4.50 for 2
Only a good deal if you buy it from them anyway because it's always cheaper in the shops, but - the Cathedral city 350g are showing as £4.50 each or two for £4.50.... so buy one, get one free. Incidentally, the cheap nicky loo rolls are £1 a pack or two for £1.50. Not to bad.

I assume it wouldn't work the same as the usual put in a cup, add water and go type. Also,…

Lidl weekend offers, no stock in store
Does anybody have this issue with their branch of Lidl I wonder, or is it only my store that seems to have a problem? This has been the third time in the past couple of months or so that I've gone into Lidl on a Saturday morning at around 10am, to find they have absolutely no stock of one or more of their special half…

Hovis's sneaky loaf size change
Has anyone else noticed that, under the guise of new packaging and a recipe change, the size of Hovis Best of Both has gone from 800g to 750g. Needless to say the price has stayed the same! I only found out because I overheard the staff in Sainsbury's discussing it. I checked the packaging left over from last week's loaf…
