Meal deal on 'ilumi' - anyone tried it?
I just saw this company had a meal deal on which looks quite good. If you buy £25 worth of food you get 2 free curries, 2 free rice pouches and a couple of free beers. Once you work it all out it feels like quite a good deal especially as you don't pay delivery charges. But I've never heard of the brand before nor know if…

Co-op milk combined with Kelloggs cereal offer
if you buy a 2,4 or 6 pint bottle of Co-op's own milk, you can get 50p off any kelloggs cereal. I've just checked my receipt & it's given me 50% off of the cornflakes, so, £1.09 off instead of 50p.

Bulk buying bread making ingredients
I make my own bread and am almost out of sunflower seeds, sesame seeds etc. I buy my bread flour from Aldi or Lidl but now that Julian Graves is shut I don't know where to get the extras that make HM bread so tasty. Any recommendations? :)

Asda can no longer search by price - Update 9/8/13
Update 9/8/13 New Asda website now has a search by price feature :j Hi All After finally managing to get into the new Asda website (was stuck in a login loop for a few days) I now find that there is not a "search by price" option - how stupid is that! As a person with limited funds I always shop from low to high - I can't…

MSE Blog: When it comes to groceries, sometimes less is more MoneySaving
Hi all, this is a thread to discuss the MSE blog: When it comes to groceries, sometimes less is more MoneySaving "The idea of getting less of anything for more money is the opposite of what we stand for here at MSE, and definitely seems counter-intuitive when it comes to grocery shopping..." Click reply below to discuss.…

Has anyone seen this for sale in the UK? It is dried peanut butter that you add to smoothies, cakes , cookies or mix with water and use as spread. It has 85% less calories than regular peanut butter and virtually no fat and tastes okay. They have it on Amazon but it is really expensive as it is imported from the USA.…

Finish Dishwasher Tabs less than 10p each - Lidl
Hi All, Not sure if this is the right place? We were in our local Lidl last night & I spotted packs of 54 (26 + 26 as 100% extra free) Finish D/W tabs for £5, which is under my own threshold for these of 10p each. They were towards the back of the store near the fridges, rather than with the other cleaning products (where…

Cheap 250g low fat spread
I live alone and hardly use spread as I don't eat bread. Only have it on crumpets and jacket potatoes. I buy the 500g pots of low fat spread esp the buttery ones like Clover lighter and I have to sling out half of the pot as it goes mouldy and tastes of cheese. I don't put a knife with cheese in the tub just in case…

Fair trade ground coffee
This morning I got 2 packs of Sainsburys Fairtrade ground coffee for cafetieres (227g) for 50p each, medium strength, best before September 2013. They were originally £2.99 each so a good bargain. I noticed they had similar packs with chicory in them down to 57p but I'm not sure what this would taste like?

Bold vs Ariel
If you could get Bold for 14p per wash (Makro) and Ariel for 15.5p per wash ( Sainsburys) which would you buy. Ariel is rated by Which and I like it, but you get fabric conditioner with Bold which usually makes it a bit more expensive, but in terms of quality of washing are they on a par?

Cheap Halal Butcher
In my local town, there is a Halal butcher and a non-halal organic butcher. The Halal butcher seems a lot cheaper. Why is that? The organic butcher shop looks tidier, but do they just charge more because they are targeting the affluent middle classes?

Disappearing Dairy Free product
Been buying Solesse Mayonnaise from ASDA for a couple of years. It's very good and totally dairy free. Zero cholesteral and excellent for lactose intolerence. Guess what; ASDA have dumped it, so had a look around other stores for an alternative. Morrisons don't sell one. Sainsbury's have dumped Tiger Tiger May-o (still…
