Aldi / Lidl Washing Detergents

Any recommendations on washing machine detergent from Aldi or Lidl? I don't know to what extent you get what you pay for, whether to choose powder or liquid etc, so any tips would be appreciated!

I use Aldi's Almat washing powder and I'm more than happy with it.

I've used it for a couple of years now.

I wash OH's oily overalls, our allotment clothes and normal washing.

I used to use almat but it kept blocking up my washing machine and I got an accumulation of it as it wasn't dissolving very well.

The Almat was recommended by Which recently.

I use Formil from Lidl with no problems. It does the job and I have 3 small kids so lots of testing from it. I never use anywhere near the amount of powder recommended on the packets so boxes always last many more washes than they say.

I've used Aldi Almat non-bio powder. It does the job but it's not very scented. I use the Almat non-bio washing gel now. It cleans brilliantly and smells very fresh.

I use the formil powder from Lidl in the blue box.
I love it, and as posted above, I don't use anywhere near the recommended amount of powder, even in a hard water area. It copes with a primary age child, me and a sweaty, oily, mechanic cycle commuting husband. :)

I've been using Formil liquid detergent from Lidl for about a year now & very happy with the results I get. I use less liquid than they suggest & in a very hard water area.

I changed from buying soap powder as I found on very low temperature washes with dark clothes, I could see areas where the powder hadn't quite dissolved. I found this with all brands I tried.

In the past I always used to use one or other of the well known brands whenever they were on offer, but must have saved quite a bit of money since switching to Lidl's brand.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

Have found that that the almat powder clogged up the drawer. Did clean very well though.Currently using gel I got elsewhere on offer ( am like cattie in that respect!), but will be going for the Almat gel next.
