If you could get Bold for 14p per wash (Makro) and Ariel for 15.5p per wash ( Sainsburys) which would you buy. Ariel is rated by Which and I like it, but you get fabric conditioner with Bold which usually makes it a bit more expensive, but in terms of quality of washing are they on a par?

Neither.. They both set off my eczema and are overpoweringly perfumed.. I'd get something much cheaper like the supermarket own brand or the like.

I wouldn't want anything with fabric conditioner in. I like to control what has fabric conditioner and make sure nothin that shouldn't have it (e.g. Fleece) does and that towels mainly don't get it.

I spend ages tryin to choose the 'right' washing stuff, and always am sure I am missing something....

I prefer Aldi's to either of those tbh. I rarely use fabric conditioner though.
    Normal people worry me.

I use Ariel but only 1/4 cap fabric conditioner as we have really soft water. I try others but always go back to this.

As stated by others, I prefer to control the amount of fabric conditioner I put into the wash. Certain washes are better without. I quite like Lidl's own if on special offer but Ariel is my preferred choice.

I dont like fabric conditioner, so if I had to chose between the 2, it would be Ariel. However I always buy which ever powder is on offer, regardless of brand. If I wasn't so os I would always buy Fairy, which is my personal favourite.

I'd vote fort Ariel - because it doesn't have fabric conditioner in!

Neither, I like a separate fabric conditioner because I don't want it in everything and I had a bad allergy to Ariel a few years ago and wouldn't buy it again. I use Surf (15p a wash, but less in reality because I use less than a full cap) and Sainsbury's FC.

Bold and Ariel are both the top of the range powder. The only difference is the perfume and conditioner.
