Bold vs Ariel

Apparently the fabric softener in bold is clay based and relatively natural so doesn't affect absorbency so much. I was told this by some cloth nappy enthusiasts. Last year when there were really good offers and good coupons on SSM I got a fair amount of both mainly the gels as on offer they were ending up costing about £2-£3 for 24 washes. I do quite like bold but in the case of the gels they do lose their colour (this isn't important) and their scent far more quickly than the other p&g brands, so now I am stuck having to plough through those first to get them used up, then I will use the ariel and fairy gels as these keep better, then the persil liquids and lastly the ariel powders. Then I'm going to try making the homemade stuff xx0
