Lindt white chocolate is too expensive, what's a good substitute for baking ??

Like most people theses days I'm doing my best to make cut backs and save money. I love to bake cakes/desserts and my preference has always been Lindt chocolate. Has anybody switched from using this stuff to another brand?
Thanks

This is MSE and I am sure there are alternatives that are less than the usual price paid of £1.25 per 100g, but...
what on Earth are you baking (and how much are you eating) that the modest cost of this standard brand is at all relevant?
There are brands available in Lidl and Aldi (at about £1 or £1.25 per 100g without waiting for an offer for Lindt or even cheaper ones at 39p).
But I would concentrate on portion control.0 -
Lidl next weekend is a stock up time for you then.

I use lidl's 70% and 85% chocolate and waitrose's own Belgian milk/white chocolate. All very reasonably priced.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0

My local Sainsbury's does white chocolat Menier which is cheaper than Lindt.0

Aldi's and Lidl's 39/45p examples are gorgeous!0

I use the Tesco Everyday value chocolate at 30p for 100g and it is fine for all types of cooking - the dark chocolate makes lovely brownies.Jane

Aldi's white chocolate is great 99p for 200g. Must admit though it's never got as far as being baked in anything at this house!

I have some here. I'll just test it.
Chomp, chomp ...
OK. It's the right colour but it doesn't taste like a Milky Bar.
Thumbs down from me, I'm afraid.0
