Any tips/hints for shopping at Aldi Did a search, hunted through 6 pages..but couldnt find the thread- sorry! We now have an aldi just down the road so going to give it a go, I mostly buy tea, squash & other drinks- any good bargains to be had or not any less than value/smartprice ranges?? Returning Food When Still In Store
Please Help I placed some M&S pies in my trolley - was shocked after checking out - they cost £8.50 for two. Took the items and receipt straight to customer services. They refused to refund saying that I could have tampered with the food. I was 2 metres away from the till!! Do you think this ruling is absurd ??

Iceland large frozen desserts now down to 75p
My DH (bless 'im!) came home today with: Chocolate & Toffee Roulade Double Chocolate & Raspberry Tart Cherry Brandy Cheesecake Contreau Orange Cheesecake Baileys Cheesecake The last four are all large "party" size, all 75p each. I promise to save them for special occassions - just wish I had more room in the freezer!

Tesco vegetarian nutroast £1
Was in the 5 ways Tescos in Birmingham today and saw the veggie nutroast dinner was £1 they are selling them off and wont be restocking them the SA told me. Not tried them before but got 3 to freeze. Just got one of these from Dunmow Tesco. Marked a £1 on the box, went through the till at 75p. No indication of reduction on fridge edge, so assume it must be a till error, so should be happening everywhere.

Toblerone Fruit and Nut 400g = £1.50 at Morrisons
It's probably nationwide as they had a printed shelf-edge label, but in the Brentford store at least, the 400g Fruit and Nut Toblerones in Christmas packaging are just £1.50. Best Before Date is June 2010... not that they'll be around til even mid-January in my house!...
