My energy supplier is due to fit smart meters for me next week. They tell me they will be SMETs2, but, being a suspicious so and so, how will I be able to identify them as SMETs2? Any info much appreciated. Thanks.

EON - Smart Meters and switching suppliers
Just used Uswitch a few days ago to initiate a switch away from EON as they could not offer me a decent tariff when my existing one comes to an end in October. Received an email saying "Sorry you're leaving us" and asking to check their tariff offers to see whether they can persuade me to stay. Next day I received another…

My parents have night storage heaters and currently get a boost of electricity through the night which heats up the night storage heaters through the day. My dad says their energy company (Npower) controls their meter and switches the electric on and off. It is not an economy 7 meter they have, its called a telefoto meter.…

National Gas wants me to pay previous owner's outstanding Bill!!
Hello, I am in search of advise on this matter. After serving 14 years in the British Army, I decided to start a business venture. I bought a restaurant on 09 Aug 18. Lookaftermybills
Hi, new-ish to the forum so apologies if this is covered elsewhere. I did look haha. Just wondering if anyone has used the Lookaftermybills service? Economy Energy Feedback - Warning deliberate overcharging on final bill
I switched from Economy Energy back in March this year. The new supplier sent them the final meter reading on the switch date, 04.04.18, and I submitted the same final meter reading via my online account on 16.04.18. During the contracted energy supply period Economy Energy sent me an account confirmation letter that…

British Gas now requiring smart meters with new tariffs
I check every month to see if there are any new cheaper tariffs I can switch to, and I've just noticed there are now a couple of new ones that would save me £200 a year. But reading the T&Cs I've noticed this bit... If you are eligible for smart meters and don’t already have them (either for both fuels or just one fuel),…

Huge jump in monthly bill
My electricity gets paid by DD every month at £42.71. Today, £101.31 was taken for electricity and that’s how much will come out based on “projections”. I’m £58.15 in credit now! Their previous projections had me estimated to pay £444.39 electricity but I only used £396.72. This is with British Gas and I have a smart…

Screw to bayonet light fitting adapters
I have a screw light fitting in the hallway and up to now I've been using the cheap old incandescent bulbs which don't seem to last very long these days and pop quite dramatically when they go, blowing the main fuse. I have a lot of bayonet energy saving bulbs which I could make use of. My question is, are the E27 to B22…
