Losing fixed tariff if moving house
I have a E-on EHL cumulative switch tariff which runs to June 2018 but I am advised that if I move house before then I will lose the tariff as it relates to the property and not me. This is a ridiculous situation as the property has not made a contract with E-on, I have. What is the point of a fixed tariff if you are then…

Switching Electric Suppliers
After using MSE Cheap Energy Club to gain quotes to consider switching from a 'Big Six' supplier and seeing that there were financial benefits to switching, I tried to do so via the MSE site. However a problem has arisen whilst switching in that because I have two separate meters (one for day tariff and one for off peak…

Broken meter: moving out soon
Hi all I moved into my 1-bedroom apartment in August 2016 and when I was to give my first reading in September 2016 I made npower aware that my meter was faulty (blank, broken). At this very first point I made them aware that I was okay with paying the estimate for now (£39 per month) but I expected it to be lower than…

Anyone with Engie?
Morning all Is anyone with Engie for dual fuel? If so do you know if you can have a payment card with them? We pay a set amount each month on a payment card and it suits us. They are coming up as the cheapest in the energy club deals Thanks all

Have Electricity prices soared?
My sainsburys fixed price may 2017 is coming to an end and I'm shocked by the massive price increases, the cheapest tariff now is £350 more expensive, with £300 of it being electricity! This is utter madness!

Direct debit doubled
First time posting so hope I've got things right. On advice from the MSE switched to EON, gave them all the details they asked for about useage and they gave us an estimate of £51 per month. So much cheaper than the £80 per month from Scottish power. 2 months down the line they have told us they misquoted and we now have…

Direct debit almost doubled
Hi everyone, first time posting but I have trawled through the forums before. So jumping right in.. I've been with npower for the last 2 years since moving in to my current flat. Never had a problem and the price has always been fine and convenient to stay with them. I have been paying around £60 a month for 2 years for…

Who is responsible?
We are haviing an extension built at the house we.'ve lived in for 15 years. The electrician working on site has said that the meter has not been installed properly. Obviously we contacted our current supplier who have said it is not their responsibilty because they didn't install it. We've no idea who did. Whose…

Estimated vs Real Final Bill
Hi all, At the beginning of March, I switched from Scottish Power to Flow Energy as the latter had a significantly cheaper unit price and standing charge. I left Scottish Power with the knowledge that I had an outstanding balance with them, which I would pay once I had received a final bill from them. On the day I…

Buying a new flat: best way to pick your new gas and electricity supplier?
Hi there! I'm brand new to the forum and skimming through for sage advice as I'm completing on my very first property next month (exciting, but also very scary!) Question - the gas and electricity meters in the flat are currently pre-payment meters, which I'd like to get switched out for regular gas and electricity meters.…

New Tenancy Energy Queries
I've found the phone numbers to find the suppliers (have both gas and electric) so will be doing that later. Its prepay meters in at the moment and they're very expensive (previous experience) so I want to change to monthly direct debit which is what I was on in previous property. In addition I want to do what I DIDN'T at…

Economy Energy
My fixed tariff with Sainsbury's is shortly about to run out. The cheapest option via MSE cheap energy club is coming out as Economy Energy (once you factor in cashback). There seems to be a lot of negative feedback of them about, which seems to mainly be around sharp practices for prepayment customers - I would not be…

EDF BIue+Price Protection Feb18
Hi - can I get some advice please? We signed up for the above tariff in February this year and on their website and our account it says guaranteed no price rises until February 18. Leaving my electricity supplier..
Can I change my current electricity supplier even though I still owe them money? And can tell my current supplier that I can only pay them a certain amount of money each month until it's paid off? Basically Eon are robbing b******s 🙄 and I've had enough of them! Please help!
