Changing from prepayment to credit meter - how long should it take?
I moved in mid-March to a house with a prepayment electric meter. I was with Npower before the move so decided to switch over to them in the new house as I hoped that it would be easier to change over the prepayment meter to a credit meter with them. Since then, there have been issues with my meter reads - in that I've…

Power Cut
Hi all We had a power cut for several hours last night. The national grid is recording it as 7:06 to 10:46, but I think it may have been longer. It wasn't off for a continuous period either, it was off and on all afternoon/evening. In the end we got takeaway for tea and this morning I am throwing away all meat and fish…

Moving house to one with pre payment meters
Hi, I'm moving house to one with pre payment meters fitted, which I don't want. They are with British Gas, so can I start the switch straight away or do I need to wait ( things have changed since I last moved 10 years ago.) My contract here finishes 04 August so quite good timing to switch (going from electricity to duel…

Is anyone else having poor service from Flow Energy?
I'm getting a bit fed up now, I used a comparison tool to change my energy supplier and Flow Energy came up with the best saving and comments said its customer service was good. First Utility Fixed Price until June 2018
Hello I have been offered a fixed price by First Utility to 2018 for my gas and elec, £96 instead of the £111 I currently pay. Anyone got any thoughts on whether now is a good time to fix? You also get a thermostat fitted but not sure if that is just to lure you in. Cheers

Moving from elec only flat to elec and gas house - how to pick a provider
I've spent the last six years living in flat with electricity only, but OH and myself have taken the plunge and bought a house, which like many houses has actual gas. I've trying to figure out what the best deal will be, but I just have no points for comparison. I have no recollection of what a reasonable price for gas is,…
