Changing from E7 to Normal tariff half way trough the contract period

Last year when I moved on, I signed for EON on a Economy 7 tariff for a year.

Is there any chance I can change with them for a normal tariff instead?

Thanks

That'll be fine cts_casemod. With us, customers with Economy 7 meters can move to a single rate tariff if they prefer. No need to change the meter. We add the day and night usage together and charge it all at the one rate. If you've registered with our website, you can make the change online once logged in. If not, give us a call and we'll do this for you.

To be cost effective, customers with Economy 7 meters need to use a significant amount of electricity during the cheaper off peak period. This is because Economy 7 tariffs have higher day rates and then cheaper prices at night. The actual amount depends on the region and tariff. Again, there's information on our website or our advisors will be able to help.

What tariff are you on? If you're on one that's no longer available, you won't be able to stay on the same tariff but will need to choose an alternative. There's no charge for moving from one E.ON tariff to another. For a fuller picture, pop your usage in kWh on to the independent comparison sites. If you're on a contracted product, there might be an exit fee for changing supplier before the renewal period starts. This is open 49 calendar days before the tariff ends until 20 days after. Exit fees don't apply once you're in this window. Provided we're told, we'll also keep you on the same prices until the switch goes through.

Hope this helps cts_casemod. Let me know if you need any more information.

I'm currently on E.ON iChoosr Fixed 1 Collective October 2015 (E7) and would like to change to E.ON iChoosr Fixed 1 Collective June 2016.

Will Eon Levy the cancellation fee for early exit of the current tariff if signing up to the new one (with a new 12 months contract)?

    Thanks

Eon do not charge if you swap between their tariffs. The early exit fee is only if you leave Eon.

I've swapped between Eon tariffs in the past year while still within contract and not paid any exit fees.

No problem there cts_casemod. As gsmlnx says, we don't apply exit fees when moving from one E.ON tariff to another. This also includes any collective tariffs we're involved with.

The E.ON iChoosr Fixed 1 Year Collective June 2016 finishes on Tuesday, 28 June 16 so you've a bit of time yet. You probably already know but just thought I'd mention, you need to apply through iChoosr to move to this tariff. As it's a collective, we're not allowed to become involved until the switch has gone through.

If you feel you'll be better off on a single rate deal rather than Economy 7, you'll need to request this when applying through iChoosr. We won't be able to change this at our end once the tariff has been switched. Hope my earlier post about having single rate prices with an Economy 7 meter helps. As I said, no need to change the meter. We add the day and night usage together and charge it all at the one rate.

You know where I am if you've any more questions cts_casemod. Happy to help.
