First:Utility My First Meter Readings Experience
I joined FU in September and they immediately took a direct debit payment straight away. Not a problem. I entered both gas and electricity meter readings on 31-Oct because my spreadsheet needs this. Next day I get an email saying please provide meter readings by 2-Nov. So today I entered some more meter readings. No…
Oil filled rad vs infrared panels
I want to heat an outbuilding that has been converted into a room, like an office/den type room... My research on the best way to heat it is proving hard. It has electricity and I've read lots on oil filled radiators being the best, but then also infrared panel heaters being the best. Both have some good reviews on amazon.…
Cheap energy club, why are savings different from other switch sites?
For example: Same figures (20,000 kW gas, 5000 kW elec) plugged into MSE club give £107 while moneysupermarket shows £124 saving with the Co-op Fair & Square Dec 2015? On moneysupermarket I can double check my tariff details (e.g. standing charge per day, elec per kWh etc.), but can't seem to do so on the MSE club? :(
Hit with an energy bill 3 years later?
Hi all, a couple of weeks ago my housemate from uni of 3 years back messaged me saying Spark Energy had contacted her and sent her a bill totalling over a £1000. I was a bit shocked since I'm pretty sure we paid every bill we received during that time and closer inspection of the bill I think this seems a bit off. Another…
Another npower rant

Then I started getting emails and a phone call reminding me to send meter readings urgently. As I explained to…

So.... as I was on the phone to scottish power yesterday to get my annual consumption so i could use MSE's big winter switch it transpires that my day and night rates might be mixed up. Stupidly I thought this might mean I was owed money but googling today I realise it's the other way round. I've switched providers a few…

British gas
I always get an email to read the meters but this time they have just produced an estimated bill. Having read the meters today they are saying am I sure of the readings as they are "not inline with their estimations" ???? They have under estimated my Electric by 200 units and over estimated the gas by about 20 units.! What…

Cheap energy club, how often do you qualify for cashback?
Hi there, my family switches energy around quite alot when providers hike their prices I was just wondering do the small cashbacks come with a minimum amount of time you can apply between them through cheap energy club? And is that the same linked to the other main energy cashback givers? Like i think its energy savin…
