EDF Price changes - just switched to them :-(
Bummer. Switched to them after Xmas and now they've hiked their prices. I did sign up when they were offering £100 credit so not too bad. Any ideas how long before I get that and when can I switch to someone who might be cheaper?

Transposed Meter readings
Have recently been contacted by E-on, who provide our electricity and informed that for the past three years they have been reading my meter readings incorrectly. In effect charging us day units at night and vice versa. To this end they say we now owe them in excess of £4,700.00. They have discounted this to just the last…

Ovo final bill - no automatic refunds
I chased OVO today to ask why my credit balance on my final bill had not been refunded. (£208). To my astonishment, I was told that they don't automatically refund credit balances. They don't have such a facility and it relies on customer's requesting the refund. :o So if you deal with OVO please don't forget that…

Was thinking will the energy provider give us two different rates as i think we are paying a premium rate for the business…

Sister Lost purse after putting £40 on utility card
My sister lost her purse yesterday just after putting £40 on her electricity key. Is there any way of persuading the company to identify the transaction and allow her to get the credit she bought but can never use? Thanks.

Faulty Eon Heatwise meter - do I have to pay?
I have just discovered my Heatwise meter has not been working since at least October 2010. I am being supplied with a new meter on 18th February. Do I have to pay for the electricity I have used but that has not been recorded by Eon? If I do have to pay then how much should I pay? Thanks

Eon - prices for economy 10/7
I'm in KY7 - and I can't seem to find prices for economy 10 or 7 anywhere. I'm in the middle of re-doing the house, and it may make sense for me to alter the electricity at the same time, installing economy 7 or 10, as I have the option of putting in a small heatpump, connected to a thermal store as underfloor heating.…

Switching from British Gas? Check your bill for new prices slipped in!
Just to encourage people to check their post 09.12.10 British Gas bills if they invoked the switching clause within section 7.2 of their BG Terms & Conditions on time to continue on the old pre 10.12.10 prices until they are with their new (cheaper) supplier. My Feb Gas and Electricity bills both had the new higher…

EBICO: Prepayment meters 2011 - still any good?
Dear all, I'm new to this forum & would appreciate some help. I've researched on google but can only find stuff for 2009 and older. We rent our flat and when we moved in 6 months ago, there was a scottish power prepayment meter for gas & electric. my hubby was keen to budget so we got our own cards and stuck to it. However…

Business Gas Meter Reading Problem
Recently had a massive gas bill of about £10,000. Our normal quaterly bills average a few hundred but this is crazy. We haven't used any more gas than usual and there are no leaks. I think the problem is that the meter is hard to get to and hard to read and that a proper reading hasn't been taken since before we changed…

EON monthly debit +38%
EON just sent a letter updating my monthly debit to £246, a 38% increase! There's no debt on the account, in fact its worked out to within £3 over the past year. The letter was sent the day before the usual debit went out which skewed their figures - which seems a huge coincidence, but not enough to justify that…

Npower miscalculated standing charges. BEWARE and check.
I am a low user of gas and electricity and received a gas bill with the correct gas usage and price. My monthly payment had been raised 400% and at first glance I thought it was just the rise in fuel price we have heard such warnings about. In fact the standing charge had been calculated as £225 when it should have been…

Excellent service from BG engineer
Our heating pump started playing up just before Christmas (We have Home Care 200) and produced some interesting drum effects in the pipework. We booked an engineer online but had to wait a few days (not surprising considering the weather at the time!). Engineer turned up on December 21 during the agreed time slot and…

Eon price protection April 2014
I've been looking at switching to this new capped tariff from the existing standard electricity only Eon plan I'm currently on. The blurb states that 'you’ll never pay more than the price you sign up to and you could pay less if our Standard prices fall'. Does this mean that I would go straight on to the new capped higher…
