What a pack of lies!
Energyhelpline switched me to a tarrif with the same supplier, at the same price, but I'd get £20 back after a year, & because I'd mentioned Martin Lewis, I'd get £15 off them. Instead, when I got my first bill a fortnight later (luckily) I discovered that I'd been switched to a tarrif that was 8p dearer for the first…

Quick EON question
The comparison sites said to use Eon Fix online V8 . Went through Topcash to the Eon website, and it only shows Eon Fix online 8 . Is this the same deal, or does the 'V' denote something else?

Gas hob left on
Not sure if this is the right place for this-sorry if it isn't. I left the gas hob on (medium sized hob on low) for 6 hours and my housemate (sort of landlady) found it. I said I'd give her some money towards the extra bit of the bill it may cause but I have no idea how much. I know this may seem trivial (and definitely…

How much do you pay for Electricity?
I'm moving into my own home at the end of next month. It's Electric Central Heating (storage heaters). No gas in the house. Just found out it's a pre payment meter. My long term plan is to get gas central heating. Also will want to remove the pre payment meter sooner rather than later. My question is, can anyone give me an…

No gas supply
Hello hello, I'm looking into buying a flat but it doesn't appear to be connected to a gas supply. It has electricity. I'm not aware of having been anywhere without gas before, so can anyone advise on the implications here? Thanks in advance, Ian

Can you calculate my annual useage?

I've taken a couple of photos of the gas and electric readings, can someone please tell me from reading them what a rough estimate would be of my annual usage. I'm currently with Scottish Power Premium Plus. The monthly direct debits are Gas = £55 Electric = £39…

Change to N-Power Account
I got a letter from N-Power today with new terms and conditions that come in for me on 7th May. Quite frankly they are gobbledy-gook. I rang N- Power and it seems that after a year on your existing Tariff (Mine was Sign on Line 14) the tariff is automatically reverted to a Standard one. Afer a bit of maths from the Lady in…

Beware of E.On's Age Concern tariff . . .
My home is currently supplied by E.On. I have just used Martin's recommended gas/electricity comparison website and found, to my considerable surprise, that I could save almost £200 per annum just by staying with E.On but switching from their Age Concern tariff to their FixOnline 8 tariff! And it was dead easy to do, as…
