I got a letter from N-Power today with new terms and conditions that come in for me on 7th May. Quite frankly they are gobbledy-gook. I rang N- Power and it seems that after a year on your existing Tariff (Mine was Sign on Line 14) the tariff is automatically reverted to a Standard one. Afer a bit of maths from the Lady in the call centre it emerged that I would be approx £130 a year worse off compared to my existing SOL tariff.. Unless you have a degree in Maths any normal person wouldn't have a hope in hell of working out the best deal.The price of the energy had actually halved but they had put the price of the daily standing charge up from 16p a day to 67p a day for the gas supply. Be aware - the new tariffs are dangerous to your pocket. It is however an easy job to sign up to the new SOL 18 tariff and the phone lady did it on the phone in a minute. She also admitted that the letter sent out was rubbish and it seemed to be a way to con money out of the customer!!!!
