Eon OnlineSaver V12
Just noticed this tariff, not sure when it was announced. I am currently on V8 and on the surface of it, V12 looks a bit cheaper. But the sneaky monkeys have reduced the discounts from 13.3% down to 10% - so overall it's a bit more expensive. And they thought we wouldn't notice! Very sneaky

Gas Versus Electric
People say there is competition in the utilities, but the one competition you never see is Gas versus Electric. If you have Gas central heating and wish to be safe you will be paying £200.00 + per annum for safety/maintenance checks. Not so with Electric.

Is It Cheaper To Keep Switching The Boiler On And Off?
Is it cheaper to keep switching the gas on/off or leave on constant and let the theromstat click in and out when it gets too hot or too cold?? I've heard that it costs more to fire up the heating from cold and it's better to have it running all day??

EHC Combination radiators: any experience?
I live in an all-electric cottage (no gas in the village) and have actually been very happy with my Creda slimline storage heaters running on E7 for the past 18 years. Working from home, it doesn't matter that the units aren't as controllable as conventional central heating as it suits me to have the heat all day long.…

British Gas - Please Advise!
Hi, I joined the price freeze to 2011 at the end of July last year. I moved in September and asked BG to tx my price fix deal. They said they would but when I called today I found out this hadn't been done. Now they are reducing their prices by 10%. They have given me a choice (as it was their error that meant my price fix…

I have a direct debit for my electricity with EDF - currently £60 per month. Condemned boiler in a newly bought house
Hello I've just bought a house and moved in. I knew the boiler was switched off and that I would have to get it reconnected as the previous owner hadn't been living in the house for a time. However, when the gas engineer came out to do this he condemned the boiler. He's a friend and he knows I won't be using him to buy a…
