Can anybody get through to Scottish Power on their first attempt?
I am so annoyed at Scottish Power!!!
I have tried six (6) - yes SIX - times to phone them. I used their 0800400200 number, chose options 1,3,2. I am then informed that their call centres are busy, and to try again later...and then hung up on!:eek::eek::eek:
Do they have a grudge against me, or are they just so busy their little team of squirrels can't cope?

Amen to that, lol. Another advantage about switching 4 times per year for cashback trousering purposes is no matter how appalling the service you just know you won't have to endure it for long...Call me Carmine....

How do you get out of the 12 month contracts so easily?
I simply avoid any tariff that has a lock-in period although I sense a trend emerging amongst energy suppliers to try and freeze serial switchers like myself out of the market by offering contracts etc...Call me Carmine....

SP changed my direct debit from £40 to £118 per month without telling me. I give readings on line and according to that, the £118 is the correct amount for how much gas and electricity I am using. I do have the central heating on 24/7 in cold weather due to a health problem I have.
Despite this, it just seems so much to be paying when I live on my own in a 2 bedroom, fairly small flat with newish double glazing and a less than 2 year old boiler.
Any comments or ideas? I know I have to phone SP to see what they say, just wondered if anyone had anything of use to add before I do.
Thanks a lot in advance for any help.
