New Supplier / Settling old bill
couldnt see this in the FAQ's so thought i'd ask quickly
I've just done a comparison as I've been too lazy to change so have been on E.ONs standard tarrif for over a year since I moved into the property, the bills werent too bad untuil the last quarter (I appreciate it was the winter months), so doing a quick comparison showed me that EDF Online 6 would probably be the best and cheapest tarrif.
I've just received my latest bill in the post from E.ON, will I be able to change over to EDF and settle the E.ON bill later (when they take the final reading), or do I have to settle before EDF will be allowed to take over?

When you switch, it takes a few weeks. You get asked for meter readings that are used to close old account and open new, and then you get a final bill.
If you're on quarterly billing, you need to pay your current bill as normal. If monthly DD, you make your normal payments and then get a refund of a credit balance, or you get a final bill to pay.0 -
