Swap to heating by electric?
My gas bill seems to have gone through the roof relative to my electric - would it be cheaper to use electric oil filled radiators on timer switches and switch off the gas central heating?

Price cut!
If gas & electricity was linked to the increase in oil prices why are they not coming down with the oil price reduction? Surely the government MUST jump on these companies NOW!!!

Wrong Meter Reading
Southern have been reading my neighbour's electricity meter as mine and vice versa for 3 years 4 months. There's two people in my flat and one downstairs so it is likely that we use more and therefore haven't being paying enough. I am extremely worried about receiving a 3 year electricity bill! Can they do that? Please…

Changing meters - Terrible service from EDF
Ever since joining EDF 4 months ago we've had awful customer service from them. The call centre staff are often patronising and argumentative, looking for a way to blame us for the problems we're having  To cut a long story somewhat shorter, we currently have an outdated token meter for which most shops are no longer…

Utilities in rented flat
Does this seem right? Son moved in his rented flat on the 1st April and was asked to pay £60 for gas/electricity two weeks after he moved. I guess the bill came after the ex tenant left. Last week, he was asked to pay £125 which to me seems a lot, we are not even in winter. It's a 3 bedrooms flat shared with four people…

I'm something of a newb on here, so i hope this is the right place to post. I sorted my parents with a switch to Scottish power at the end of June, using the 72 quid topcashback offer. The account shows that the cashback is confirmed but no yet payable. Is this normal to wait quite so long for the funds to be payable, and…
