But I'm confused about whether I need to declare the pay out to the DWP…

Autistic child moving from DLA to PIP
Hi My son is autistic and my wife and I currently claim DLA for him. In April he turns 16 so his award ends in September and he is able to apply for PIP. He is high functioning and attends mainstream school (with a 1 to 1). He has progressed immensely in the past 4 years since his (quite late) diagnosis but still has some…

Advisability of applying for PIP
An advocate helping with my ESA application suggested I also apply for PIP. At the time I disregarded it as being for people with "real" disabilities, not the mental health problems I have. I also thought that although we have lost more than half our income now I can't work, we manage financially, so claiming would be…

Pip timetable
Does anyone know when the transfer from dla to pip will happen in the NG3 (Nottingham) area please? Also, apart from the chance of losing my dla is it a good or bad idea to ask to be transferred rather than wait.

My time has finally come......
Yesterday I got 'the letter'.....My DLA will be stopped next month, and I am invited to apply for PIPs. Tomorrow we will make the phonecall...and then the form will be sent....possibly (probably) a face-to-face (including the usual fight to get the face-to-face done at home). I know that I am entitled to PIP. I have been…

For some odd reason I thought that I needed a solicitor or some legal bod to draft up all the forms , etc . So when I enquired via our local…

Watch out there will be a troll about
See the regular benefit troll has been rumbled and all their threads wiped off this board, but he/she never gives up. They've had more reincarnations than Dr Who! Be wary of every new OP. Thoroughly nasty troll, who could prevent people from trying to help genuine posters.

PIP Meltdown
I am writing this here - because over the last few years I have found great advice in these threads. I don't expect anybody to be able to help me in any way - but I need to let it out and there is no-one to talk too. To say that life is totally hopeless and exhausting at the moment is putting it mildly - and yet the blows…
