I also suffer from severe depression. On a daily basis I need encouragement…

Hidden Disabilities Time To Fight Back
I was wondering if anyone has a hidden disability on the forum ? Over the course of the last few years I have been subject to a tirade of abuse and discrimination just because people cannot see my disability. Its about time people with HD's opened up a frank debate on the issues faced by thousands of people in this…

Repeat prescription
I have habit of forgetting too order tablets to last minute and as some are for 28days, 30days, 56days, 100 days and 112 days can be a pain in the backside. Some pharmacies do a service that they will organise reordering your repeat prescription for you and when I was in today picking mine up they had a leaflet to say they…

How are you going to keep warm this winter?
I know there are other posts in other parts of the MSE forums, but I thought I`d ask here for people such as us, disabled people and their carers. DH and I are very careful with the heating but we are cold and we`ve spent £9 in gas in the last 48 hours  All suggestions, light hearted and otherwise appreciated :D

Disabled Access
Went into Habitat In Canterbury yesterday and asked to use the lift to go upstairs and was told there wasn't one. Does anyone know if this is true? I was really surprised as I thought a big store like that should have had some kind of access. Comments welcome please.

I've noticed that the Primark in Oxford Street has a till for disabled customers, pregnant mums etc, which saves you queueing. There were about 3 million people in the queue, so I showed my appointment card (I have breast cancer, and look fine on the outside, but get tired very quickly), and was able to jump the queue. If…

Adult Trike wanted
Hello! I have a balance problem because of my hearing, and it was recommended that I try a 3 wheeled trike, e.g. a Pashley.
