Nearly at the End
Hi I am very close to the end of my Debt Management Plan (4 months) and two of the outstanding three debts are £16 and £39 respectively. The last debt is for £286. I know that one should not pay one creditor off if it will cause others to feel unequally treated, however I have worked out if I pay the two smaller debts now…

I have slowly realised that my partner's parents whom are 62 and 63 are in loads of debt.I have discovered that they were living in their overdraft, have half a dozen credit cards, a personal loan, a car on finance, several monthly payments for services they do not use and a mysterious standing order to Lloyds bank to…

Are we likely to get this default wiped from our report?...
How easy is it to get a company to agree to remove a default from your credit report? We had our Vodafone contracts terminated and eventually marked as having a default against them! What happened is we moved house and tried to change our address with Vodafone over the phone. We were told we had to do this in writing…

What small DFW things will you do w/c 4th May?
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when…
