Advice please. Idem no CCA - what next?

Hoping for some advice.
I’ve been with Stepchange for 9 years, slowly paying back debts.
I recently sent a CCA request to Idem who now old an old debt which now amounts to £1747.
They responded, advising that they cannot produce this, recognise that the debt cannot be enforced but will continue to pursue it.

I then sent a F&F offer of £100 which they have rejected.
I’m not sure where to go next with this. The debt is still being paid each month by Stepchange. Should I remove this debt from my DMP? Send another offer?

I haven’t done this before and don’t want to risk getting into any trouble.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Proud to be dealing with my debts :j Total Unsecured Debt: [STRIKE]£47,157[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]now £42,010[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]now £39,943[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]now £36674[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]now £34434[/STRIKE] [STRIKE] £9766 getting there slowly :j

Even though the account has become unenforceable, you are still liable.  They just cannot seek enforcement through the courts.
I recommend you withhold any further payment toward the account.

You won't get into any trouble when withholding payment for an unenforceable account.  All Idem can do is send you a six-monthly statement, with an empty request for payment.

I would not worry about it at all.

Thanks so much for this. I will ask Stepchange to stop paying, and therefore speed up the other debts. 🙂

Hiya can I ask what the outcome of this was. I am in exactly the same position and was wondering should I just stop paying them. They have no copy of my CCA agreement and I have made a 60% full and final settlement of 3k which they have rejected. I would be keen to know what happened with you if you stopped paying them.

    Thanks
