Struggling with IVA payments
Hi all, looking for advice on the best way forward! I took out an IVA in October 2007 and the original payment was set at £370 per month. This was reduced on my application to £330. This year, from April, I have had to reduce my payments to £255. The reasons for this are mainly linked to the costs of childcare. I am a…

Creditor refusing reduced payments unless I go through CCCS
Hi all, I've searched and searched DFW as I am sure I have read the answer to this ages ago. What has happened is that HBOS Visa have sent me a very nice letter which INFERS (doesn't blatantly state), that in order for reduced payments to be negotiated I need to contact either CCCS or Payplan. I took advice from CCCS…

Wednesday 29th July - What small DFW things have you done today?!
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when…

trouble paying rent
My problems started this summer when I naively thought that I could easily supplement my SAAS payment of £200 a month, bringing my income up to £500 a month, by extending my hours and getting a second job. I now owe 2 months rent to my landlord to be paid when I move out next month. I've already got 2 student overdrafts,…

Just had a thought. For August October, pick one Survey website and then every day in August October, make a point…

Trying to fix my credit file, but MacKenzie Hall keep screwing it up!!!
Cutting a long story short... Was contacted recently (6 months ago) about a statute barred debt to HSBC (Was statute barred 3 years ago). Sent them a letter, and that (I thought) was that. They then sold account to 1st Credit, who contacted me about the same thing. Sent them another letter and they said it would be dealt…
