Weekend release- I am inspirational because....
Time for a regroup I think as there has been a few little niggly and upsetting incidents on here this week, and time for us to take stock and think positive. So heres the place to sing about our achievements, and put things back into focus on why we are here and what we are achieving :) just a few words needed to say what…

We have been barered from our local barclays bank.
The manager took great offence to us claiming our bank charges back. I would be upset but she has lost the bank £1,000s each year in barclaycard interest, mortgage interest and O/D interest well done her NOT!

Advice Please
Hi, I hope that someone can give me some advice. I'm still waiting to hear back from CCCS but I doubt that they can help me so I am trying to figure out our options as best we can, as our situation is quite complicated. For starters, my husband earns about 16,000 a year + 2,000 in child tax credits - pay £300-ish a month…

Confessionals...
One good thing I've noticed about this forum is that from time to time you get a 'tangent' subject - one that's completely unrelated to debt, finance etc, and no one jumps up and down and demands the thread be removed. I think it's good for a bit of comic relief, you know? Debt is a serious subject and can get us all down.…

update ** GOT IT BACK! Left the cash in the ATM
I am really bashing myself over this one. Exchanged some Tesco Deals tokens for Legoland Tickets so off we went yesterday. Went to the ATM to take out £50 as spending money for the day (this should also have covered my Tesco's shopping on the way home). It had taken me 4 weeks to save £30 spending money for this day. I…

Lloyds idiots
I have been on a DMP with Payplan since last October. I have a huge total debt but luckily I managed to get a really good job in September and so I have a good chunk of income to chuck at creditors. Letter from MBNA
I got a letter from MBNA this morning saying they had sold my debt on to a DCA. My first reaction was well that sucks because I was about to make you pretty much a full payment when my house sells, I had just written to all of the creditors with offers to tide them over until the house sells and I can clear the lot. Now, I…

Lazy&indebt's progress so far...
Hi Everyone.... My light bulb moment happened 3 months ago. Since then, I have reduced my debt by £2k, saved up £600 and reduced my monthly outgoings by about a half... New loan company trend, good or bad?
Hello Everyone! Sorry if this has been posted about before but... I was watching TV during my lunch break today and I noticed quite a few adverts by loan companies. Almost all of them are offering a 'defferment' when you first open your account, meaning you don't have to make any repayments for 5 months, which sounds…
