Thoughts on a possible ISA tax (Lifetime Allowance)
Given the fact that there is a current Lifetime allowance on pensions of £1.5Million, and any benefits taken over this are taxed over and above the income tax from receiving a pension... Can an ISA be put in a trust?
The subject says it all really. Some ISA especially stocks and shares ISA's. Could be worth a substantial amount of money in the long term. I'm wondering if it's possible to put an ISA in trust so it's outside of a person's estate to avoid inheritance tax?

Capital Gains Tax
I own a house, on a mortgage, with the last payment due this month, with a value of about £200,000. The house was recently extended and totally ‘fixed up’, new wiring, new plumbing and plastered throughout. It’s location would make renting out very easy. My father owned a house, fully paid for, valued at about £230,000. It…

Stakeholder pension and self assessment
Hi, I am looking at filling in my tax return for last tax year. I have a stakeholder pension which I need to add to the SA100. HMRC says to calculate the gross payment which they say should be payments divided by 80 multiplied by 100 (to take account of 20% tax relief). I understand that, however when I look at my…

Self assessment
Sorry if this is wrong place.. I recently registered as self-employed for this tax year, 2011-2012, so was expecting to have to do a return in Jan 2013. However, I've just received a self assessment form for the previous tax year, despite the fact I was PAYE then. I'm guessing it's a mistake due to me recently registering…

Help with self assessment please
Hi, Have just completed my first ever self assessment (I had a CGT to pay which obviously calls for me to complete one).
