in Cutting tax
My daughter has just started work after finishing her PhD. She had some employment at the university for which she was paid. The final work was done in the previous tax year, but the pay was received just after the start of this tax year. She was then living off savings till she started work on 1st August.
She has no P45 from the Uni, but has requested one. I think she has filled out a P46 for her job.
Will her new employer be able to use the P45 from the Uni to get her onto a normal 747L code? Or will the P45 be too old?

The P45 should be fine.
