Council Tax Rebate

Hello All,

I've been a very frequent visitor to this site for many years, and enjoying reading everyones ideas on various things from mortgage free wannabe or increasing your income.

Anyway, i have been in my property for 6 years now, I bought it from a plot before it was built.

I have been thinking that i was getting overcharged on my council tax, even though I'd already had the 25% single owner reduction.

I'd read the threads on whether to dispute, I went against what Martin's rule of thumb says in the section "reclaim £1000's"
So i receive a call back from them yesterday saying they agree with my query and they have sent a letter to the county council who will be in touch, to give me a rebate for the last 6 years.

I've worked the figures out approx and i think its around £1500, not bad for the sake of a phone call.

also another 2 properties in the street will also be getting a letter, further to my appeal.
