Where to send an R40 form if you haven't paid tax for 15 years?
Due to a c**k up by a building society, they have made a payment to me and deducted tax when I am a non-taxpayer. They have given me an R40 form to claim it back, but I don't know where to send the form, as I haven't worked outside the home since 1993 (I am a mum and carer to my disabled son). Thanks in advance. TDD xx

Becoming A Higher-Rate Earner - What Do I Need To?
I've always been a basic rate tax payer, but I've been doing a lot of overtime this year and my (potential) bonus might push me up into the higher rate for 2007-2008 (and possibly stay there next year). Is there any sort of checklist of things that I need to do? I remember there is something about writing to my pension…

Tax office..aaaarrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh

It's like battering my head off a bring wall. How can I get…

Convincing the VOA Listing Officer (almost like Mission Impossible)
I need to find anywhere in the Greater London Post Code area - say from E1 to SW20 a Bellway One Bedroom Semi-detached house of about 39m2 to 42m2 built in the early 1970s to late 1990s. Reason for this is to try and convince the VOA Lambeth Listing Officer that my small one bedroom semi should be in Band C and not Band D.…
