Tax Help please

Hi All
My OH has just became a taxi driver and i'm trying to figure out how everything works and would love a bit of advice....I'm unsure about personal allowances,when he fills out the self assesment and it asks for his profit does he have to deduct the personal allowance or do the tax office??

    No, he doesn't deduct the personal allowance. This will be given automatically by HMRC when they do the calculation, and will be shown on the copy of the calculation you OH receives.
