Where to send an R40 form if you haven't paid tax for 15 years?

in Cutting tax
Due to a c**k up by a building society, they have made a payment to me and deducted tax when I am a non-taxpayer. They have given me an R40 form to claim it back, but I don't know where to send the form, as I haven't worked outside the home since 1993 (I am a mum and carer to my disabled son).
Thanks in advance.

If the deduction is in the period from 6th Apr 2007 - most (but not all) institutions should be able to add the deducted tax back to your account. Just as, in the same way, most (but not all) will retrospectively add back any tax deducted in that financial year - when you file an R85.
If they've given you an R40, doesn't look too optimistic, but might be worth the ask?
Incidentally - I'm assuming you have filed an R85? Simply being.. a non-taxpayerIf you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
