Experian CPA charges on credit card
Hi has anyone had experience of this and how to obtain a refund? Just before we bought our house in order to get a mortgage we have to have a credit report each for myself and my husband. We went with Experian for our free report but in order to access it we had to set up an account each and put in our credit card details.…

Plea for help - incorrect entry
Hi all, I’m sure there’s hundreds of stories of people complaining about their credit file, but the last week has been the most horrendous I’ve ever experienced. I had a lease car with Lex Autolease, the car was returned after a 3 year lease in which all payments were made by direct debit without issue. On June 26th the…

Negative factor on file due to new credit card
Hey guys, just received a new credit card to help me improve my credit score. It’s come up on the report as a negative factor saying. “ your highest single credit limit is £900” I’m confused by this, is it because it’s quite a low amount it’s considered negative? I don’t understand what it mean. Thanks.

Report to credit agencies inside 14 days?
Hi, if one accept a loan or credit card and cancel the credit agreement inside 14 days, settle any outstandings, is this reported to the credit agencies, or does the lender wait until the cooling-off period has passed before reporting in the credit line? Thanks

Time scale for default removal?
How long is appropriate to give a company to remove a default? I have a letter dated 10/6 which states all adverse information relating to this account will be removed, but its not happened. My report updated yesterday, but its still showing. I've called and been told there are 'no time scales' for removal......?!

CIFAS marker and business
After an attempt by fraudsters to gain access to my business banking account I voluntarily put myself into CIFAS. Some months after this, I applied to switch my account to Metro bank. I bought in all the ID and paperwork requested only to be turned down without a reason. As everything else with the business is in fine…

Credit Score at 0
So my head has been in the sand for a few years - living with thousands of pounds of debt hanging around and just ignoring it. Last month I took action and contacted creditors and put payment plans in place. My credit score is at 0 but hey ho at least I have something to work towards. Looking forward to hearing everyone's…

Unknown CCJ in Dads name, on MY Experian Credit Report
I've just looked at my credit score for the first time before applying for a credit building card, as I have never had any kind of credit before and I know that having no credit can be as bad as having bad credit. Everything about my report looks right, except that I notice there is a CCJ from Northampton County Court in…

F&F, Future Lending and Creditor Methodologies
Hi all, I have been setting up a small business over the last few years. As a consequence my credit rating is dreadful. I have two debts worth £9k combined and have been offered 42.5% off to F&F settle. Neither have been defaulted. I am aware of how this will look on my credit report. Lowell have told me it will appear as…

Experian - Mismatch of address - unable to verify identity
Hi all, I'm new here. I'm having trouble using the Experian credit score service, so I thought I'd post here. To introduce myself, I've been here in the UK for a year and am working in a university. I live in university accommodation. My actual address (as given by the university) is "Flat XX, YY Road, Manor Park Student…

Anyone successfully removed a default from their file?
I discovered recently that my score is the lowest category and couldn't understand why - then tracked it down to a defaulted credit card account: Backstory - it turns out I had TWO cards with the same provider (Barclaycard) - no idea how I ended up like that - and one of them had a £30 charge on it. I was aware of the…
