Default logged in error
Hi there, I applied to Lloyds for a loan to replay my overdraft to avoid the new daily interest charges and for extra to help with wedding costs back in December 2017 but it was declined - I was told by the credit approval people to check my credit file as I had a default registered with a telecommunications provider.…

Experian can't verify identity
Hi. I'm trying to get a 95% mortgage for a property I love, but have so far been struggling. My first mortgage advisor (supposedly independent but his office was within the selling agency's office, and his company logo was the same font and colouring as the selling agents???) told me that because I had missed payments…

Default Dates
Hi newbie here.. could really do with some advice... So in July 2011 I embarked on a DMP with a company called Harrington Brooks. My creditors accepted this plan and the reduced payments. In July 2012 I came into some money and paid off a huge chunk of the plan, via full and partial settlements. I had 2 creditors remaining…

Best place for £17k to earn interest for me?
A bit of background, I'm looking to buy a house this year so being accepted for the best mortgage I can get, is in my best interests, though this isn't going to happen realistically for another 3-6 months. I currently have two TSB accounts both with £2k in each (which I cycle money between them for about £3/month perks)…

Credit Scroe NEVER Changes...
Hey, At the end of 2016 I cleared all my debts and and everything was complete as of early 2017, it’s now 2018 and my credit score is the EXACT SAME as it has been since some time in mid 2014... does this thing ever improve or does one slip-up mean a lifetime stuck with a poor credit score?

Default
Possibly a question that's obvious and been asked many times before here but, If you have a default, if you don't intend to apply for any credit at all for the foreseeable, is there really any point in satisfying that default? Rather than wait 6 year period and allow it to drop off.

Refused Bank Account
Hi, I have recently been a second signatory on a business account application that has been rejected due to the main applicants credit rating. Will this have an impact on my own credit rating?? It was basically an account for a children's football team. I stupidly agreed to be a co signature and honestly didn't think about…

GDRP and credit files
under the new GDRP law everybody will have the right to SAR (subject Access Requests) about their personal data and companies cannot charge a fee for them. Would that work for all the credit agencies like Experian and Equifax that either charge a fee for a report or a subscription?

Credit rating plummets
Hi All I wonder if anyone can help me. My credit rating went from 997 to 571 in a day - why? Last year, following reading this site I took a Creation Credit Card with £4K limit. I wanted it for using on holiday abroad. I used it in June in France and when I got home paid the balance in full. It worked brilliantly. I…
