Refused Bank Account

Hi, I have recently been a second signatory on a business account application that has been rejected due to the main applicants credit rating. Will this have an impact on my own credit rating?? It was basically an account for a children's football team. I stupidly agreed to be a co signature and honestly didn't think about credit checks. My own credit rating with Experien is 792 and 472 with clear score so not poor but I am trying to improve for a mortgage application later in the year. Thanks for any advice.

My main concern is that it may impact me and a mortgage application I want to make. Will it mean that my financial records will now be linked to the other person0

Your score doesn't exist. Neither does your rating.
There's nothing to improve since its not real.
There may well be a search on your files and a link to the account appear on your files.0 -
You will not be financially associated with the other person from this application.0

Your "score' means nothing.
Do not worry, this application would not have linked you.0
