Equifax twins details on file

Hi everyone,
Ive been going over my credit files as im going for a mortgage. We applied through a broker and have got an AIP with LBS. However they have said there was some undisclosed credit on file. The broker and I have scrutinised the files and can't find this. When looking at my searches my twin brothers searches are all coming up even though we haven't lived together for 3 years. Its showing in the previous address section. He can see all my recent searches and vice versa. Could this cause a flag of undisclosed credit pop up? Leeds BS have searched me via equifax. I did ring equifax but the lady on the phone was useless. Didn't seem interested in the slightest and I had to force her to remove him as she said it doesn't matter because they are table 2 searches.
Thanks.

contact the CRA as they need to disassociate the two. The equifax lady wasn't bothered as you weren't buying additional products0

Why do they need to disassociate the two?
Did the twins ever have a joint credit account of any type?
If not, they how could they have become associates/joint credit hsitory?0 -
We have never had joint accounts of any form. Further research suggests the CRA have made a mistake as they use name, address and DOB. Its only Equifax.0

The name wouldn't match, though.Chicane1992 wrote: »We have never had joint accounts of any form. Further research suggests the CRA have made a mistake as they use name, address and DOB. Its only Equifax.I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0 -

I was concerned about if it could effect a mortgage application. Its happened before on this board but i couldn't find a thread in relation to mortgage applications0

Look at the Alias section on your credit report. Does your siblings name appear as an alias?
Look at the linked addresses, does it show your siblings name and old address as a linked address?0 -

Exactly. So just how do they manage to merge these two sets of records? Of course it's yet another example of the criminally inept data processing carried out by Equifax. I'm not sure what type of licence they hold that enables them to carry on business as a CRA, but isn't it about time it was revoked?0 -
The only that shows on file is his name and all his searches in the previous section. This is, the second previous address section though if that makes sense. I already have my previous address searches then it's a separate table for his. My only alias is my partner. It just find it a bit crazy that i can literally see every credit search my brother have carried out and likewise for him.0
