Credit file update

Hello I haven't had any credit for about 11 years as i got into debt back then and avoided getting credit again as I don't want to be in debt again but I decided to build my credit score up as I am getting older so I opened up a argos store card up about 3 weeks ago and bought a £200 dryer on it and when I got paid 2 weeks later I paid the full amount off and my credit file just refreshed today and nothing is on there about having the card and paying the bill for it any ideas why it hasn't appeared and any other tips for building my score back up

can take months for stuff to appear!

All three of my accounts are 10 weeks behind. give it some time

Check all three files for you accounts, not just one.
Get a real credit card.
Use it regularly for things you would buy anyway.
Clear in full once you get the statement, not before.
Ignore the score.
