Experian report on Credit Club showing duplicated accounts - who to contact?
As the title says, for some reason all of my current accounts and credit cards are duplicated on my credit report. This means it's showing 8 current accounts instead of 4, and 4 credit cards rather than 2. It's not obvious who to contact to resolve the matter.

Aqua card!!
I'm hoping someone can help me here! I'll try and keep it brief. I had almost maxed out my card, and in January decided to take some money from my savings and pay it off in full. As a result, my card was blocked, my mobile app was blocked and whenever I tried calling I'd get cut off after entering my details. Finally spoke…

Credit utilisation
Hi I've joined the Credit Club and got my Experian Credit Score, which was just shy of 999. Under the section "8 things you need to know about your credit file" all my items have smiley green faces except "Credit utilisation" which has an orange not happy/not sad face. As I understand it, credit utilisation is how much of…

Thames Water Direct Debit
I have a direct debit with Thames Water which debits me in full every time they send me a bill. The problem is that Thames Water only bills me once every half a year and now on my credit report it is saying I am seriously in arrears with my payment (because they assume I have a monthly direct debit I guess). It is…

Credit file for expats
Hi all, As an expat, I do not have any kind of history here in UK. I was wondering if moving money in UK and putting 20k GBP into a saving account can contribute to build a good score. Also, could be useful to get bank references from my previous country and get them 'registred' by experian or other rating companies? Thx S

Variance in credit scores (both Experian)
I have a Barclaycard which gives me a free Experian credit score every month. I have also just signed up to the MSE Credit Club, which also offers a free Experian credit score however, these scores are both different (around 100 points different). Is one or the other more comprehensive? Any reason why I should be getting…

Am I doing the right thing?
I have been stuck in a rut for a number of years and have been unable to clear a small amount of debt - I have been spreading the payments (just over the minimum) rather than clearing anything. A couple of cards are near the limit. Despite the relatively small amount and regular payments, I am struggling to get accepted…

Hi all, I wonder if anyone could throw some light on this for me. I was self employed some years ago selling 2nd cars, I used a company called Hpi to check car history's etc. I used to pay my bill every 3 months via debit card around 30-60 per month. I went back to being employed in December 15 and paid what I thought was…

Cancelled credit - Credit Score

I took the decision to cancel this contract within the 14 day cooling off period, which o2 have processed. However I have noticed on my clear score report that the account is shown in the…

Effect of having a buy-to-let mortgage.
Sorry if this question is naive. I own my own house outright, and have done for several years. I now have a buy-to-let mortgage. So when applying for credit or changing banks, and being asked if I have a mortgage, I tick yes; but somethings the question is framed in a way that confuses me as to whether I am being asked…

Advised to change home address before applying for mortgage - effect on rating?
Hi! I’ve always kept my bank accounts at one address in another city for over 20 years (my parents) where I’m also on the Electoral Roll, to keep my credit rating high. I can of course always live in that property as I have a room in it. The reason for this is as a student and then as a professional I've had to change my…
