Can I get some of these removed?
I applied for a Santander Current Account. I checked my Experian report and see that Santander performed NINE credit checks on me all on the same day, all for the Current Account. I definitely only applied for the account ONCE. It's making my credit report look mental. Is there anything I can do to get these removed?

Any help hugely appreciated
Hi All, I'm having a very hard time in getting a loan to purchase a car. I did have one previous loan for £1000, which I was to repay over 1 year. I ended up missing 4 payments on this due to going out of work, but immediately after finding work, I contacted the underwriters and agreed to pay extra each month so that the…

Would someone clarify Minimum Payment query please :)
I've read on here if you pay even £1 more than minimum payment, this looks better to lenders as they can tell if your just paying the minimum each month on credit cards. I was wondering how much truth there is in this?

Santander Being a Pain - File clean up
Hi all, I went bankrupt in April 2008 and have spent the last 2 years (on and off) cleaning up my credit file. I'm almost there except for Santander. I had a joint current account with Alliance & Leicester (which belongs to the Santander group). I included the current account in section 5 of my bankruptcy petition (which…

One of my credit cards has a much higher credit limit than I want or need. The card provider allows you to request an increase online, but not a reduction. So I messaged them. This was the response: "We are able to reduce your credit limit. Before we do this please note the following: Reducing your credit limit may have an…

Just found out about an erroneous CCJ
Hi Money Savers, Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I couldn't see where else it would fit. On Friday I received a copy of a letter from Bradford county court informing Leeds county court that a judgment against me was being refered to them as I no longer resided in the Bradford district. I've never resided in…

'6 Payments late' query
I have a query around the '6 Payments late' red flag. I have a long standing debt with a company. For a short spell I stopped paying any repayments. The debt got passed over to a collection agency who work closely with the company I owe the debt to. With the help of the CAB I was able to agree small repayments of £15 pound…

Thameswater joint account -> Financial Association?
Hi I would like to add the name of a family member to the Thameswater account. We share the same surname. I wonder whether this would create a financial association, which I am keen to avoid. Is Thameswater the same as all other lenders, or do special rules apply to them, by any chance? Chris

Dispute with Santander - Adjudicator's opinion fair?
After 2 years of wrangling with Santander over unfair charges on an overdraft, they have put a default on my credit file after agreeing to refund £377 in charges. I've rung one department after another (collections, complaints, debt management) over a long period of time trying to discuss the matter but no-one seemed to…
