Thameswater joint account -> Financial Association?

Hi

I would like to add the name of a family member to the Thameswater account. We share the same surname.

I wonder whether this would create a financial association, which I am keen to avoid.

Is Thameswater the same as all other lenders, or do special rules apply to them, by any chance?

Chris

    According to this link http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/loans/credit-rating-credit-score#gas

Thameswater don't share information with the credit reference agencies. Assuming that is correct then it won't create a financial association. You may want to double check your T&Cs with Thameswater to ensure it doesn't mention reporting to the CRAs (or reserving the right to). Or maybe give them a call to check they haven't started adding that to the T&Cs since October.
