"Dormant" credit cards
I have a large number of credit cards which I use for variously for stoozing, rewards, cashback, etc. Inevitably there's some that don't get used for a very long time. Do any credit card companies cancel such credit cards, and if so, do they give notice so that one can make a quick purchase?

So I took out the only credit card on offer to me, it's only a £250 limit but is 0% interest in lieu of a fixed 3£ a month fee. My question is - bearing in mind the card costs me…

This probably sounds like a stupid question but, if I add a balance transfer to a credit card on which I have a outstanding balance of purchased items, how do I know whether the payments I make go to the old balance or towards the balance transfer pay-off?

Pre Approved Credit Card Application
I signed to the Credit Club and using the eligibility calculator I found out which cards I was likely to be accepted for. I was 100% pre approved for Barclaycard Platinum which happens to be where I'm a current account customer of too. I've been declined because my affordability is weak. The whole purpose of a balance…

Not the most sensible thing in the world but we are very confident (99%+) we will be able to pay it off no problem in 4 months. (We have several lump sums coming in) Problem is I…

Should I cancel this unused credit card?
I'm just seeking a little advice on credit file management. I have a default on my file that is due to expire under the six years rule next month. It was a disputed default (which was paid off in full) but I won't go into that here as it's going to come off my file anyway shortly. I have been steadily building up a good…

Afternoon Good People, I applied in mid November for a Tandem credit card, verified my identity, and was told after a phone call to Tandem in mid December to sit tight - they're running their checks.
