Worldpay credit card
Dear all, I need your advice please. I started a new business (limited liability company) which sells bridal gowns using the internet and through bridal fairs. I accepted credit card payments from customers using a service provider called ‘Worldpay’. I hired sales staff to visit bridal fairs and sell to customers. Once the…

Asda Card login probs
Is anyone else having problems getting into their Asda credit card account online? I am tearing my hair out over this. I had to hang up the phone last night on customer services I was so tired of going round in circles. I initially went to login as usual but was told it was the wrong password (sure it wasn't) but went…

What to do if credit limit is not enough
Hi, I am paying my last year of my doctorate in health psychology next month (£3441), but the university insist I pay this over 6 months, which is not possible. I have tried negotiating with them, asking whether I can pay over 9-12 months, but they are refusing. The last 2 years my circumstances were different (I was in a…

credit search on file trace after cancelling an application
Hi all, It's my first post here, but I have always taken this forum's advise before. Let me cut the story short, if I may: I applied for Capital One card, accepted but awaiting documents to be sent on my side. I have now changed my mind and don't want to send documents in, call them and tell them not to go ahead with the…

Appealing a credit card decision question
I'm writing a letter of appeal after being declined a credit card Just wondering, should I include a copy of my ID and proof of address as good measure or not?

Amex - Missed payment then 0% interest rescinded
I've had an American Epress card with 0% interest on purchases for a year now. Back in December I (stupidly) missed a payment by 5 days - essentially because I thought I set up an automatic payment with my bank and I didn't. Unfortunately this resulted in them taking away my 0% interest. I am carrying a balance on it and…

AA Credit Limit Increase - No Need To Ask!
Had an AA 0% Balance Transfer card with a £4,400 limit and used it to its full potential for that BT, which is now cleared to a zero balance. Been on £0 balance for quite a while now, so what do AA do? Increase my limit by another £4k to aid me with my card spending and management of that £0 balance, without even asking!…

Identification problems
Hello, This month I tried to do two MSE things: 1. Get the M&S £35 deal credit card 2. Switch my current account to TSB The problem is identification. Both are still asking for 'originals' by this that means they won't take an emailed bill. All our bills are paperless. They then suggest I use my driving license. I don't…

Credit card refunds due to errors
In the past 2 weeks we have had refunds from tesco and barclaycard, due to being charged late payment fee's when it wasn't necessary and being charged the wrong interest. Has anyone had this before? Although it is nice to get a refund, how do I know this is correct? Should I push for more information and compensation?

£11k paid to credit card over 4 years but only £300 paid off debt!
Yes I was stupid, yes I was young, but I ran up a lot of debt when I was younger (8 years ago) due to being silly, and having an ex leave suddenly and me having to pay all the bills and mortgage on my own etc. I am now in a position to start paying some off, and last week contacted Halifax to ask about my credit card and…

Combining limits
Couldn't find a thread on this, other than a couple of odd posts. I saw someone on here mention that MBNA combine credit limits if you take out a new card with them and already hold a card as a current customer. What are the ins and outs of this? Is it something they're happy to do for most/all customers? I have an MBNA…

Unclaimed PPI
Hello all. I was unable to make my credit card payments as I was unwell and off work for some time. I was being treated for depression and anxiety as well as chronic pain. I attempted to claim on my PPI but found it too stressful and difficult as I was ill. I am now repaying them through StepChange but is there anything I…

Passed soft search, then declined.
Congratulations - following your successful eligibility check you can now apply for the Asda Cashback Credit Card. I then proceeded only to be declined. Is it worth appealing? How common is this after passing the "soft search"

Balance Transfer to Next
I have noticed the interest on my Wife's next account is stupidly high so I suggested getting a 0% credit card to pay it off. Just realised that there isn't a 16 digit number on the account so spoke with Next and they said they don't accept balance transfers. What is the best way to proceed with this?

Refused 0% transfer card now desperate to improve credit score.
I have made a couple of 0% balance transfer credit card applications recently. We had an unexpected outlay recently and had to use the 34% interest card we have currently. I was refused by both cards. I have checked my credit score on Experian and found I have two defaults which seem to have reappeared. In 2013 we had to…

Elderly parent's card
Hi guys, I'm new to this so please bear with me if this is a subject that's been done already. My dad went in to hospital six weeks ago with symptoms that have deteriorated his dementia significantly. It's now at the stage where it's apparent he won't be going home. At the moment we are optimistically looking at him going…

Credit card/voucher rights
Hope someone can help clarify for me. I bought an iPhone via a "voucher site" in July last year. The phone had a 12 month "merchant" warranty and has now developed a fault.
