Congratulations - following your successful eligibility check you can now apply for the Asda Cashback Credit Card. I then proceeded only to be declined. Is it worth appealing? How common is this after passing the "soft search"
I came into this world with nothing and I'm gonna leave with nothing.

A soft search is no more than a generic identity check. You'll notice that they say you're eligible to 'apply'. Once a hard search was done, you obviously didn't pas their criteria. You can appeal, of course, but I wouldn't hold out much hope.

What % chance did it give you ?
In future , try the actual company eligibility checker where possible, and then ALL the multi card online ones
Yes appeal, you have nothing to lose now !0 -
It has to be a more positive check on credit history. My brother run through a creation card eligiblility check and it came back not eligible. Then he done the same for Asda card issued by Creation came back his eligible to apply but then declined the application.
If it was just an id check then it should have came eligible to apply for both card - both issued by same card provided.0 -
Ok..I'll give you that it's more than an ID check. Hard to find out exactly what it is though.Super_Star wrote: »It has to be a more positive check on credit history. soft search can only give you a maybe of being accepted
its like with the mse credit matcher of being 95% accepted for a certain card and then being rejected
you can apply but then fall within the 5% of not being accepted0
