Unclaimed PPI

Options
Hello all. I was unable to make my credit card payments as I was unwell and off work for some time. I was being treated for depression and anxiety as well as chronic pain. I attempted to claim on my PPI but found it too stressful and difficult as I was ill. I am now repaying them through StepChange but is there anything I can do about unclaimed PPI when I qualified to claim it? I am new to all this, any advice would be greatly appreciated, I find this stuff really scary! Thank you.

Did Stepchange not suggest that you claim under the policy?

However if you had gone through with the claim and it had paid out then you would find it very difficult to claim it was missold.

    When did this all happen?

Hello, thanks for replying. It was about four years ago. I don't want to claim it was missold,it's that I could have claimed due to my circumstances but due to mental health issues, found it too stressful and difficult. (I still have problems using the telephone) The PPI would have paid out for having to leave my job due to illness but due to my mental state, I panicked and ignored the calls and letters. (also, I had planned to take my own life so it seemed moot)
I know it's all pretty stupid!
    Thanks for replying.

Getting this moved to the PPI Reclaiming forum would be the best advice you could take FTM.

Thanks, I'll do that when I have a bit more time :)
    Thanks again, Nick.
