Hi All hope this is the correct forum for this question. I have a "bad credit" credit card, which I have never had problems with. Last year a fraudulent transaction happend in which someone used my details to place a fast food order (!) which took me over my credit limit and I incurred fees. As soon as i was aware of this,…

Claim against Credit Card under section 75
Hi, We bought a new kitchen. Before they finished the kitchen the company went into liquidation. We have most of the kitchen but it still needs to be finished. We are now concerned that other companies won't want to come to do the work as there are snags to sort out. We now have no warranty and no way of sourcing…

Hi, As mentioned I have good credit rating at 837 but poor affordability. I have three credit cards with about 50% purchases and 50% balance transfer amounts. I would like to get one or two larger balance transfer cards to move all of this balance on to but I have no affordability to get cards approved. Does anyone know…

How does 0% for purchases work?
Sorry if this is a dumb question. The CC in question has 25 months 0% for purchases. How does this work? Do you get 0% for purchases made in the first month only? Or are you interest free for all purchases on card until the initial 25 months are up whereupon you begin to pay interest on the outstanding balance? Can anyone…

Multiple Direct Debits for one Credit card
Hi, With so many amazing offers on current accounts this year I'd like to open a new M&S account. However I'm running out of DD I can pay to qualify for the deals, so was wondering if I can split the full amount payment on a credit card between two current accounts (i.e. 50% from each account). Thanks

buying PPI
I need to make a credit card purchase for an essential item over the next few days, but working in the oilfield isn't the most stable of jobs at the minute and I want to make sure that my card payments are covered in the event of any loss of earnings. I already have separate redundancy cover / income protection insurance,…

Last date for Santander 123 cashback?
I couldn't think how best to explain it in the title so on we go... I don't know if this applies for all but my statements run from the 10th of the month. Cashback is paid something like 14th. The monthly fee also. I contacted Santander asking if i could close on 1st Feb (to avoid the monthly fee was my thought) but what…

MNBA question
Hi folks, just wondering if anyone here could answer a question. I have been accepted for an MNBA 5 credit card. 0% on S123 expires next month, where next? Purchasing and Forex...
My 0% S123 CC expires at the end of Feb. I ONLY use this for business expenses and the occasional purchase which can sometimes span a few months... I make no benefit from the 123 perks... Is there a lengthy 0% on purchases with FOREX benefits of the Clarity. Or should I simply ditch the S123, open one of the current Long…

How to stop living off my credit card!

Paid on credit card via Paypal, any protection?
I have had varying levels of success previously with Paypal when buying stuff. I use one credit card for Paypal and each transaction is made using that card. I never use the balance, if I have one I withdraw it first. This way I can see exactly what has been spent, with whom and when. The problem arises when a problem…

Credit limits on 0% purchase cards
Me and my partner are thinking of booking a rather expensive holiday shortly. We wouldn't usually take on circa 9k of additional debt but it suits us that we go on this trip now rather than in another 18 months or so that it would take us to save for such a holiday. We're exploring the cheapest ways to finance this short…

How is it best to pay your Credit Card?
This year my aim is to clear my credit card balance, or at least as much of it as possible. Last year, I'm ashamed to say but sometimes I didn't even make my minimum payments! So I'm wondering, how do you find it best to pay, little and often everytime you have something spare or all in bulk?
