Balance transfer at any time?

Probably a silly question but never done one before.

In the middle of applying for a credit card to balance transfer, im assuming i dont have to do the balance transfer on application and will be ok doing it in the next few weeks whilst still being able to take advantage of the introductory offers ie 0% on balance transfers for x months and no fee. Is this correct? Cant see anything to clarify on the applications. Just dont have the details of the card i want to balance transfer on hand.

Different cards have different deadlines to transfer balances to get the 0% offer, some are within 30 days & some may be 6 months...

Which card is it, someone may have done a BT on it and be able to tell you for definite the length of time you have.

Its a sainsburys card, seems like the introductory offer is for 3 months then goes to a more standard fee.

yes, looking at the t&cs of all the sainsburys BT cards they all say 3 months from opening that you can transfer and be eligible for the offer.
