Credit Card Rejection/Acceptance Randomness
I am rather confused about how credit card companies reject or accept people for their cards. I have held a Barclaycard before and a Halifax card before - they were closed after paying off the balance as some advice claims its better to close cards without a balance instead of keeping them. But I have recently been…

Delay in billing on credit card
Please can anyone advise me? I had a query on my credit card today & phoned to check it. As part of that call the operator related to me all the transactions for this month & I was amazed to hear that the first two dated from 23/6/2009. They were from two different companies. I have asked why they have only just appeared &…

Section 75 Flights Query
Hello, I booked flights some months back with Kingfisher Airlines from London to Bangkok return on 30th March and 21st April. It's looking increasingly likely that this flight won't go ahead with Kingfisher's difficulties. My travel insurance is telling me that I'll need to claim from Kingfisher, but I imagine it'd be like…

what happens next?
Hi, previously I came on to the forum to mention an unauthorised transaction on my credit card that occurred in a local store. I had visited the store on the day but made a transaction using a different credit card that is held on the same account. When my statement arrived I did not recognise 2 transactions that occurred…

any other option than Virgin CC for money transfers?
I already hold a Virgin card and want to transfer £2k into my current account to pay off a loan that is at 6.7% interest rate. Virgin have offered me 9 months at 0% with the 4% fee - as opposed to the 20 months they are offering new customers. Does anyone know of any other cards that offer better terms? thanks

Hi Guys, I recently got accepted for a 'super' balance transfer card. Which i'm using to pay off my current account overdrafts. Settled Accounts on Credit File
Do settled accounts (credit, loans, bank accounts) go against you on your credit report if/when you apply for new credit? I have quite a few loans/cards that have been paid off or closed over the year and still a few years to drop off the report.

Payment dates v Statement dates
Hi all, Hope you are all well. I am with Vanquis and this month I noticed that they had added a "Billed Deferred charge" to my account.
