What does "monthly spend limit" mean?
I have a BarclayCard business credit card with a "monthly spend limit" of £500. What does this mean? Can I spend £500 per month, or is it just another word for the total credit limit? Thanks for any insight!

Pensioner balance transfer...
My mum has offered to apply for a balance transfer card so I can reduce some card debt. This is great news but I wondered if her age and income might stop any card application? I thought I would ask before we start applying. She is 76 and does have a recently applied for M&S credit card. Yes I have bought her flowers.…

Several months ago my OH and me received letters from Barclaycard saying that if we transferred to their on-line statements we would get £20 of vouchers. So that evening I went on-line and changed both of our billing to on-line. Great, we now get e-mails instead of written statements. BUT, my OH's vouchers arrived a few…

Balance transfers declined
Hello, I have just been turned down for 0% balance transfers by RBS and Egg. The Egg one literally took a split second to say no ... I wondered, do they automatically turn you down if you are self-employed, as I am? I'm on the electoral roll and all payments are up to date on my three credit cards, don't think I've ever…

Should I keep my 'Sub Prime' account open?
Hello! I've had a 'sub prime' credit card with capital one for a few years now, as my credit rating wasn't great at the time.
