Flex - OKish for cash (there are better but it's marginally better than the rather poor average), OKish for paying. Gold - OK for paying, bad for cash. Santander - depends which of their many cards you have. They vary from good to average.
You could do better if you thought it worthwhile to open new accounts - look through the guide on this site - under travel/motoring at the top of the page0 -
Outside Europe:
NW Flex: in my opinion, poor for cash - they take 2% plus £1 - and poor-ish for paying - they take 2%.
NW Credit card: poor for cash -they take 2% plus £1 plus interest at typically 27.9% p.a - and OK for paying, they take 1%.
Santander debit card: it’s one of MSE’s debit cards from hell, shown in the MSE link below.
NW details at http://www.nationwide.co.uk/search/DisplayArticle.aspx?article=1259 .
If those are all you have, that's what they cost. If you have time to apply for another card, take a look at MSE's info at http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/cheap-travel-money?dd0
